* மனதில் உறுதி வேண்டும். எந்த சூழ்நிலையிலும் பயப்படக் கூடாது.

* தியானத்தின் ஆற்றலை எளிது என நினைக்க வேண்டாம். விரும்புவதை அடையும் சக்தியை தியானத்தால் பெற முடியும்.

* மனிதனுக்கு அவனது மனமே நண்பனாகவும், கொடிய பகைவனாகவும் இருக்கிறது.

* ஊர் வாயை மூட உலை மூடி ஒன்று உண்டு. அதன் பெயர் காலம். அதை விட மேலான சக்தி இல்லை.

அவனின்றி அணுவும் அசையாது.....

* நன்மை நடக்கும்போது மகிழ்பவர்கள், தீமை நிகழும் போது இறைவன் இருக்கிறானா என சந்தேகிக்கின்றனர். உண்மையில் உலகில் நன்மை, தீமையென்று எதுவுமே கிடையாது. அவன் இல்லாமல் அணுவும் அசையாது.

* இன்று நன்மையாக தெரிவது, நாளை தீமையாகவும், இப்போது தீமையாக தெரிவது சில காலம் கழித்து நல்லதாகவும் தெரியும். உலகில் நடக்கும் எந்த சிறிய செயலும் இறைவனுக்கு தெரிந்தே தான் நடக்கிறது.

* அனைத்தும் நன்மையாகவே நடக்க வேண்டுமென விரும்பினால், முதலில் மனதை நல்லதாக வைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்.

What is the one significant virtue we must acquire? Why is it very important for you and me? Bhagawan endearingly explains to us today.

For acquiring selfless love, the quality of kshama or forbearance is a vital necessity. (kshama is a word rich in meaning. Besides forbearance, it also implies extreme patience and an enormous capacity to forget and also forgive). Every individual must cultivate this noble quality. Kshama is not achieved by reading books or from an instructor. Nor can it be received as a gift from someone else. This prime virtue of kshama can be acquired solely by self-effort, by facing squarely diverse problems and difficulties of various sorts, by going through anxieties and suffering as well as sorrow. In the absence of kshama, man becomes susceptible to all kinds of evil tendencies. Hatred and jealousy easily take root in a person lacking this virtue. Divinity is merely the combined manifestation of prema (love) and kshama.

As we observe the Kerala New Year, how should we celebrate and carry forward these cultural traditions? Bhagawan lovingly reminds us.

Vishu is a day of great happiness for people of Kerala. On the day of Vishu, people have a sacred bath and wear new clothes. Then they offer obeisance to their elders and seek their blessings. Remember, mere external cleanliness is not enough, you must cleanse your mind and develop inner purity. The all-pervasive Divine is present within and everywhere around you. See God within you and cultivate cordial relationship with everyone. We have to offer obeisance to our elders and seek their blessings. We have to develop good relationship with all. Therein lies the true celebration of Vishu. Right from young age, the children should be taught the greatness of our ancient culture. They should be moulded into ideal citizens. They should be made to practise our traditional values. For anything, practise is very important. The responsibility lies with the parents and teachers to make the children adhere to our ancient tradition.

What is the secret sauce we must prepare to receive sacred rewards? Bhagawan lovingly reminds us today.

Today is no different from yesterday. If you do good now, you will reap its benefits in future. So, sanctify your actions. Remember, immortality is not attained through action, progeny or wealth. It is attained only by sacrifice! The bliss you get from sacrifice is eternal. It is true wealth and can never diminish! To acquire such everlasting wealth, invest your time in the contemplation of God. Divinity must pervade all that you see, hear and feel. Love is the greatest wealth and treasure. Let every action of yours be filled with love. Love begets sacred rewards. Let the whole world be filled with love. Love alone can safeguard countries and make them prosperous. Live in the constant company of all-pervasive Divinity. Why fear when I am with you, in you and around you? If you have faith, God will protect you wherever you are!

On the auspicious occasion of Vishu, New Year of Kerala (that was celebrated yesterday), what is Bhagawan’s message to us? Bhagawan guides us today.

On New Year's day, people get up early, have a sacred bath and put on new clothes. They are interested only in external cleanliness and are not concerned about purifying their hearts which are tainted with evil thoughts and feelings. It is rather easy to have external cleanliness and to wear new clothes but that is not the purpose of celebrating festivals. True celebration of New Year lies in giving up evil qualities and purifying one’s heart. Human heart in its pristine state is highly sacred and human birth is difficult to attain. Having attained such a precious life, people are not making any effort to live like a true human being. Today people have become a bundle of desires. All time and effort is spent in fulfilling desires. One should realise that only annihilation of desires will lead to ultimate bliss. True happiness lies in the state of desirelessness.

* செல்வத்தால் பெருமை கொள்வது கூடாது. உறவினர் ஏழையானாலும் அவர்களை மதிப்பது நம் கடமை.

* ஒருவரின் அன்பையும், அறிவையும் பேச்சின் மூலம் அறிய முடியாது. அவர்களின் செயலையும் ஆராய்ந்து பார்க்க வேண்டும்.

* பெண்ணாசை கூடாது என ராமாயணமும், மண்ணாசை கூடாது என மகாபாரதமும் கூறுகின்றன.

* பசு போன்ற சாதுவான மனிதர்களிடம் பழகுவது நன்மையளிக்கும். பாம்பு போன்ற கொடியவர்களிடம் நெருங்கவே கூடாது.

Why is it important to read epics such as Ramayana? On the auspicious occasion of the Sri Rama Navami (Birthday of Lord Rama) Bhagawan explains to us?

Embodiments of Love, God is present in everyone. He resides in every heart. So do not confine God to a temple, a mosque or a church. Where a human is, there God is. God takes the form of a human (Daivam manusha rupena). As you forget and do not realise this important fact, you indulge in criticism of others. Whom are you criticising? Whom do you adore? Enquire for yourself. God is present in all. If you criticise others, you criticise God. Whoever you salute, it reaches God (Sarva jeeva namaskaram Keshavam prati gacchati) and whoever you insult or ridicule, it also reaches God! (Sarva jeeva thiraskaram Keshavam prati gacchati). Right from this moment, embark on a new life giving up bad thoughts and evil qualities. Purify your heart. Let your thoughts, words and deeds be sacred. Only then will your life be blissful.
