* மனமே கடவுளின் இருப்பிடம். அதை தூய்மையாக வைத்திருப்பது கடமை.

* பிறர் நம்மை துன்பப்படுத்தும் போது அதைப் பொறுப்பது மனிதத்தன்மை. மறந்து விடுவது தெய்வத்தன்மை.

* நல்ல சக்தியும், புத்தியும் கடவுள் நமக்கு அளித்திருக்கிறார். அதன் மூலம் நாம் நற்செயல்களில் மட்டுமே ஈடுபட வேண்டும்.

* வாழ்வில் ஒழுக்கமும், நேர்மையும் இருந்து விட்டால் செய்யும் செயல் அனைத்திலும் அழகும், கலையுணர்வும் வந்து விடும்.

குழந்தைகளுக்கு தெய்வப் பெயரிடுங்கள்..........................

* நாம் விரும்பியதை கொடுத்தாலும், கொடுக்காவிட்டாலும் இறைவனே நம்மை வழி நடத்துபவன். அதனால், பக்தி மார்க்கத்தை விட்டு விலகுதல் கூடாது.அவன் நம் தகுதி அறிந்து நிச்சயம் அருள்செய்வான்.

* கலியுகத்தில் இறைவனின் திருநாமங்களை ஜெபிப்பது மட்டுமே இறைவனை அடையும் வழியாகும். நாமங்களை ஜெபிப்பதற்கு குளிப்பது, பூஜை செய்வது போன்ற எந்த வரையறை எதுவும் தேவை இல்லை.

* பூஜை செய்தாலும், மந்திரங்களை ஜெபித்தாலும் இறைவனை நினைப்பது தான் முக்கியம். இறைவன் நமக்கு துணை செய்கிறான் என்ற நம்பிக்கை மிகவும் தேவை. இதனால், நாம் செய்யும் செயல்கள் சுலபமாகின்றன. மனதில் ஊக்கமும், தன்னம்பிக்கையும் பிறக்கிறது.

* குழந்தைகளுக்கு இறைவனின் திருநாமங்களைப் பெயரிடுங்கள். பிள்ளைகளை அன்போடு கூப்பிடும்போது, நம்மையும் அறியாமல் நாமஜபம் செய்த புண்ணிய பலனைப் பெற்றவர்களாகி விடுவோம்.

Why is it important to correct our own faults and failings? Let us listen and reflect on Bhagawan’s message in His own inimitable style.

Food on the plate, when not consumed by us or given to a hungry person, but kept unused, becomes foul. So too, when our faults and failings are not corrected, either by our own efforts or by heeding the advice of great souls who have succeeded in the cleansing process, imagine what the fate of our lives will be! Like the plate of boiled lentils (dhal) kept for too long, life will stink. People don’t recognise the truth that spiritual, moral, and behavioural values are the very crown-jewels of human achievement. When not in office, people write articles and essays on education or indulge in parrot-talks from platforms. When the same people achieve positions of authority, they practice measures quite contrary to what they spoke earlier. Of course, speeches from platforms are good, but their practice should not be paralysed. Unless this illness of speech without practice is cured, education and real scholarship will not manifest its real worth!

What is true love and how is it different from worldly attachment? Bhagawan explains so we can endeavour to cultivate true love.

Culture lies in seeing unity in diversity, with a deep-seated faith in the unity of life. Nourish your faith in the caste of humanity and the culture of love. Here love does not refer to the bodily affection that marks the relationship between a wife and husband, between children and parents, or between friends. The son, though he loved his mother with all his heart, flings her body onto the burning pyre and consigns her to flames without any mercy after her death. How can such love be called true Love? All such relationships can at best be termed ‘attachment’

What should we do to attain eternal peace and happiness? Bhagawan lovingly elucidates with simple examples.

You have to give up your pursuit of sensory objects if you seek lasting peace and joy. Material wealth brings along with it not only joy but grief as well. Accumulation of riches and multiplication of wants only lead to alternation between joy and grief. Attachment is the root of both joy and grief; detachment is the saviour. Attachment (ashakti) is death (maraka). Non-attachment (anashakti) is liberating (taraka).

It appears God favours some people more than the other, at times. Is it really so? Bhagawan lovingly clears the misconception for us today.

The Lord, it is said, punishes some and favours others. Let Me tell you, the Lord does neither. He is like the current in this electric wire. It rotates the fan and makes life comfortable; it operates the electric chair and makes a life shorter. It neither has the wish to allay the warmth nor it has eagerness to kill. God’s grace is like the wind. Roll up your sails, and the boat lies limp and lame; unfurl them, and the boat moves faster and further. A father gives his wealth to the son who respects his wishes and obeys his orders, not to the rebel son who flouts him. The Lord is the Father of all. If you are an asthika (one who accepts God’s existence and lives accordingly), then you will get the asthi (property). A person who is ignorant of their true interests, and is unaware of their own downfall, is not entrusted with their own property; a guardian has to take care of his affairs until he proves himself able to manage it with care.

Why is it important to give up pride and ego? Bhagawan explains with a beautiful example.

A game of football is played by two teams with ten players in each team playing on each side of the field. Each team strives to score a goal by shooting the ball between the two goal posts. Life is a game in which you must lead your life between the two goal posts of secular and spiritual education. While playing football, one kicks the ball as long as it is filled with air. Once the football is deflated, nobody will kick it. The air in the football signifies the presence of ego. A person swayed by ego will receive blows until they are devoid of ego. A deflated ball is taken by the hands, while an inflated ball is kicked mercilessly. Similarly a humble person is well respected, whereas an egoistic person becomes the target of all sorts of attacks. Secular things come and go, whereas spiritual gains stay forever. Hence let spirituality constitute the basis of all your activities.

What is the most important purpose of an Avatar? How can we make our lives sublime? Bhagawan lovingly teaches us today.

Difficulties, troubles and worries come in the natural course as a consequence of past actions. Human birth is the result of Karma (past actions); there can be no escape from its consequences. As is your action, so is the reaction. When you stand before a mirror and offer salutation, your salutation gets reflected to you. If you address harsh words to the mirror, the harshness again comes back in the same manner. It is evident that the fruits of our actions are determined by the nature of our actions. Man is an image of God. 'God appears in human form (Daivam maanusha rupena)' declares the scriptures. God does not come down as Avatar to relieve specific individuals of their troubles and sorrow, and to confer joy and happiness on them. God takes a human form from time to time to show humanity how human lives can be divinised.
