* ஒவ்வொரு அணுவிலும் கடவுள் நிறைந்திருக்கிறார். அவரை மறந்தால் நம்மால் உயிர் வாழவே முடியாது.

* இனிமையற்ற உண்மை, இனிமையான பொய் இரண்டுமே வாழ்வில் விலக்கப்பட வேண்டியவை.

* உண்மையை விட மதிப்பு மிக்க விஷயம் வேறில்லை. அது ஒன்றே என்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்.

* உலகம் ஒரு பல்கலைக்கழகம். நீங்கள் சந்திக்கும் ஒவ்வொருவரும் ஆசிரியர்களே.

* நன்றி மறக்கக்கூடாது. துன்ப நேரத்தில் நமக்கு உதவி செய்தவர்களை மறக்கக்கூடாது.

* பெற்றோரை வணங்குவதும், அவர்களுக்கு தேவையான உதவிகளைச் செய்வதும் பிள்ளைகளின் கடமை.

* கோபம் வருவது மனித இயல்பு. அதை தணிப்பதும், தவிர்ப்பதும் நம் கையில் தான் இருக்கிறது.

* இம்மைக்கும், மறுமைக்கும் நன்மையளிக்கும் நற்செயல்களில் மட்டுமே மனிதன் ஈடுபட வேண்டும்.

* புண்ணியத் தலங்களைத் தரிசித்தால் பாவ நீக்கம் உண்டாவதோடு புண்ணிய பலனும் கிடைக்கும்.

* சேவையில் ஈடுபடுபவர்களுக்கு கோபம் துளியும் கூடாது. எப்போதும் மனதில் சாந்தம் நிறைந்திருக்க வேண்டும்.

* ஊராரிடம் நல்ல பெயர் பெறுவதற்காக சமூக சேவையில் ஈடுபாடு காட்டுவது மோசடித்தனமானது.

* நம்முடைய பணிகளை நாமே செய்வதை கவுரவக் குறைவாக பலர் தவறாக கருதுகிறார்கள்.

* அன்பு காட்டுதல், இனிமையுடன் பேசுதல் ஆகியவை சேவை செய்பவனின் குணமாக இருக்க வேண்டும்.

* முதலில் அவரவர் குடும்பத்தைப் பொறுப்புடன் கவனிக்க வேண்டும். அதன் பின்னரே ஊராருக்குத் தொண்டாற்ற வேண்டும்.

தியானம் செய்தால் நல்ல சிந்தனை...................

* தியானம் செய்தால் நல்ல சிந்தனை மனதிற்குள் நுழையும். கெட்ட சிந்தனைகள் மறைந்து விடும்.

* தியானத்தின் சக்தியை எளிதாக நினைக்க வேண்டாம். மனம் விரும்பியபடி எல்லாம் மாற்றும் சக்தி தியானத்திற்கு இருக்கிறது.

* புதரில் பற்றிய தீ போல தியானப்பயிற்சி மனக்கவலையை போக்க வல்ல நெருப்பாக இருக்கிறது.

* கடவுள் நம்பிக்கை இல்லாதவர்களும் தியானம் செய்வதால் வாழ்வில் முன்னேற்றத்தைப் பெற முடியும்.

* மனிதன் சோறு உண்பதை விட்டாலும் விடலாம். ஆனால் தனியிடத்தில் தியானம் செய்ய மறக்கக் கூடாது.

Instead of getting enslaved to the evanescent and the false and wasting precious time in their pursuit, dedicate every minute to discovering truth and contemplating the everlasting, ever-true Lord. One shouldn’t fall victim to the poisonous attractions of worldly luxuries or the wiles of seductive beauty. One day, all these fascinating scenes will vanish as a story unfolded in dream! How can we say that the objective world, which undergoes modifications every minute, waning and waxing with the waywardness of appearing and disappearing, is eternal truth? In this false world, there can be no true living (satya-achara). There can be only false living (mithya-achara). True living consists in the realisation of the Lord. This must be borne in mind by everyone every moment of their life.

What is the significance of Shivaratri worship, that we must gear up to, in spirit? Let us listen to Bhagawan in His own nectarous words today.

We have not only the Maha Shivaratri once a year, we have a Shivaratri every month dedicated to the worship of Shiva. And why is this ratri (night) so important? The night is dominated by the Moon. The Moon has 16 kalas (fractions of divine glory), and each day or rather night, during the dark fortnight, one fraction is reduced, until the entire Moon is annihilated on the New-Moon night. From then on, each night, a fraction is added, until the Moon is a full circle on the Full-Moon night. The Moon is the presiding deity of the mind; the mind waxes and wanes just like the Moon. Chandrama manaso jatha - Out of the mind of the Purusha (Supreme Being), the Moon was born. It must be remembered that the chief aim of all sadhana is to eliminate the mind and become an Amanaska. Then only can maya (illusion) be rent asunder and the reality revealed.

How should volunteers conduct themselves and why? Bhagawan lovingly explains to us today.

I would like to tell you something about the attitude you must cultivate when you volunteer. I Myself have selected you for this role and that itself is a rare privilege. There are so many among the thousands who are pleading with all their heart to be given the chance; but you alone have been picked. I must tell you that volunteering is not just a momentary spurt; it cannot be done well without deep discipline, long training and humility. You must develop prema (love) for all. Do not think that a volunteer is a superior person, more devoted than the rest; do not look down upon the rest as disturbances and nuisances.

How to ensure we make the right choice of action in every situation? Bhagawan explains and reminds us of the five advisors we are blessed with!

All of you have five advisors in your life. They are: “Who, When, Where, What and How”. Before undertaking any action, you must get answers for these five questions. When you get the correct answers for these, the actions based on them, will naturally be right conduct. Unfortunately, most people today act without any concern for these factors. All of you must exercise your own judgement using your powers of observation and discretion, using all the God-gifted instruments to you through the form of organs of perception and action. In every limb of yours, there is divine potency. That divine potency is called ‘Angirasa’. This name is derived from the fact that God is present in every limb (Anga) as an essence (Rasa). Hence, there is no need to search for God outside yourself. You are Divine. All your powers are your divine potencies.

தீக்குச்சி தீப்பெட்டியில் உரசியவடன் தீ தோன்றுகிறது ஆக தீ எங்கிருக்கிறது குச்சியிலா பெட்டியிலா?

பதில் இரண்டிலுமே என்பதே இரண்டும் ஒன்றுடன் ஒன்று தொடர்பு கொண்டதும் தீ உருவாகிறது....

அவ்வாறே எம் இருதயத்திலும் மனசிலும் இறைஒளி உறைந்து இருக்கிறது இரண்டும் இணைந்து ஒரே எண்ணத்தில் செயல் பட்டதும் தெய்வீக ஞான ஒளிக்கதிர் வீசும் என்பது உறுதி.

ஆனால் தீக்குச்சி நீரில் நனைத்தால் தீ பற்றிக் கொள்ளாது அதை சூரிய ஒளியில் காயவிட்டால் பின் பற்றிக்கொள்ளும்.

அது போல் நாமும் புலனின்பத்தில் நனைந்தால் தெய்வீக ஒளி தோன்றாது.

நாம் மீண்டும் பற்றுக்களினின்றும் விடுபட்டால் இறை ஞான ஒளி பிரகாசிக்கும் என அன்புடன் விளக்குகின்றார் பாபா.

How to shine forth with the effulgence of the Divinity within? Bhagawan lovingly explains this profound concept today using a very simple example.

A matchstick produces fire. Where is the fire? Is it in the matchstick or the matchbox? Fire is latent in both and it is ignited when the stick and box come in contact. Similarly effulgence latent in the heart and the mind emerges as Divinity when the heart and the mind act in unison. Just as the same fire is latent in the matchbox and matchstick, the effulgence encased in the mind and the heart is the same. If the matchstick is dipped in water, no fire emanates from it, as the matchstick loses its capacity to aflame. Similarly, the human mind sunken in materialistic desires, loses its capacity to radiate the Divine Atmic splendour. When the matchstick is dried in the sun, it regains its original capacity. Similarly, the human mind steeped in sensual pleasures, regains its original potency and radiates divine effulgence when it is dried in the sun of detachment (Vairagya).

What is wrong with many of the so called spiritual masters today? Bhagawan explains so that we may understand what makes one truly great.

Kind-hearted doctors run medical institutions here and there, serve the diseased and cure the afflicted. Similarly if we had ashrams here and there of holy personages who were experts in the treatment and cure of the ‘birth-and-death disease’, then people could be cured of the afflictions of ignorance, untruth, immorality, and self-aggrandisement. Ignorance produces wickedness, and it can be cured only by the medicine of the knowledge of Brahman (Brahma-jnana), with supplementary doses of the drugs like peacefulness, fortitude, self-control (santhi, sama, dama), etc. Instead, the ‘great men’ of today, for the sake of name and fame, give those who approach them the medicines they demand and the drugs their patients relish! The so-called ‘great’, on account of their weakness and foolishness, fall into perdition even before they taste the spiritual bliss themselves! The holy essence has to be experienced and realised. One’s selfish needs have to be sacrificed.
