* உழைப்பால் வாழ்வில் உயருங்கள். சோம்பலுக்கு இடம் தராதீர்கள். மகிழ்வுடன் பாடிக் கொண்டு பணி செய்யுங்கள்.

புதிய மாற்றத்தை ஏற்போம்..................

* கால வெள்ளத்தில் வரும் புதிய மாறுதல்களை எல்லாம் தனதாக்கிக் கொண்டு வாழப் பழக வேண்டும்.

* நல்லறிவு, குறைவில்லாத செல்வம், மனத்துணிவு மூன்றும் இருந்தால் எல்லா இன்பமும் உண்டாகும்.

* துன்பம் நேரும் சமயத்தில் அதைக் கண்டு சிரிக்கப் பழகுங்கள். அதுவே அத்துன்பத்தை வெட்டும் வாளாகி விடும்.

* தெய்வத்தை கும்பிட்டாலும், கும்பிடாவிட்டாலும் யாரையும் ஏமாற்றாமல் வாழ்ந்தாலே போதும். தெய்வத்தின் அருள் உண்டாகும்.

What are the different forms of realisation the scriptures speak about? Bhagawan simplifies it for us and explains the journey of a sincere seeker.

When you worship with fixity of consciousness and purity of feeling, free of all extraneous thought, that itself becomes mental union with the Divine (bhava-samadhi). As a result of this union, the Lord appears before the inner eye of the devotee in the form that the devotee has chosen for worship. The vision is not merely a matter of imagination; it is a ‘face-to-face’ experience. Without changing location, the devotee can abide in the presence of the Lord in the self-same place. This is called, ‘being always with God - salokya-mukti’. Besides being always with the Lord, devotees realise all that they see as the glory of the Lord. The experience of ‘seeing always the glory of the Lord’ is samipya-mukti. Existing ever with the Lord, witnessing always the glory of the Lord, and becoming suffused with God-consciousness is merger in the divine form - sarupya-mukti. This is the final fruit of devotional scriptures.

Why is it important to expand our hearts and enlarge the nature of our love? Bhagawan lovingly explains to us today with a simple yet profound example.

The love that is concentrated on oneself is as a bulb that illuminates the room alone, without shedding light outside the four walls. It is confined to the senses and never opens out to others, who are your kith and kin in God. There is another type of love, larger and deeper, which expands into the members of one's family. It is like moonlight, not strong enough to make things clear, but enough to move about in. It also undergoes rise and fall, increase and decrease. But the most desirable type of love is like the sunlight - ever engaged in purifying, activating, and illumining without any distinction. This love will make one act ever in the spirit of dedication to the Lord. Then all the acts would be elevating and holy.

Why should we gladly accept the ups and downs in our daily living? Bhagawan lovingly underscores the attitude all of us must possess.

Look on with an equal mind at good fortune and misfortune, happiness and sorrow, loss and gain. These are products of nature like heat and cold, summer and winter. They have their purposes to serve. Similarly the ups and downs of life have lessons to teach us. In fact, without reverses in life, we will not be able to experience Divinity. Without darkness, we cannot value light. Without experiencing difficulties, we will not be able to enjoy benefits. It is the lack of peace of mind which compels us to seek the means to realise enduring peace.

The scriptures (Upanishads) have declared that through renunciation alone can immortality be attained. You must learn to practice true renunciation in your daily living so that you may discover the secret of enduring peace and bliss.

Often we experience peaks and troughs of illumination and confusion. Why is it so? What should we do to experience illumination and joy always? Bhagawan reminds us today.

‘Ratri’ or Night signifies darkness. 'Shiva' means auspiciousness. So, ‘Shivaratri’ speaks of an auspiciousness which is inherent in darkness. It refers to the wisdom which exists in the midst of ignorance. Ignorance and wisdom are not distinct; they are basically the same. They are the opposite polarities of the same underlying principle. The state that transcends both wisdom and ignorance is Divinity (Paratatva). It is a stage which is not associated with any coming or going, where birth and death do not occur. So long as there is birth for the body, death has to follow. What is it that has taken birth? Is it the Atma? No. It is only the body which has taken birth. Remember, you are the eternal, never changing Atma. Light has value only when there is darkness. Therefore in times of trouble and sorrow, whenever problems arise, remember to evoke the principle of Divinity, which will shed illumination and light!

ஒழுக்கம் உயிர் போன்றது.................................

* இழந்த செல்வத்தை மீண்டும் பெறலாம். ஆனால், ஒழுக்கத்தை இழந்தால் அது உயிரை இழப்பதற்குச் சமமாகி விடும்.

* செய்த செயலின் பலன் பன்மடங்காகப் பெருகி நம்மிடமே திரும்பும். அதனால் நற்செயலில் மட்டும் ஈடுபட வேண்டும்.

* சந்தனக் கட்டை தன்னையே அழித்துக் கொண்டு பிறருக்கு மணம் தருகிறது. அதுபோல மனிதன் பிறர்நலனுக்காக வாழ்வை அர்ப்பணிக்க வேண்டும்.

* பணத்தால் மட்டுமே பிறருக்கு உதவ முடியும் என்று எண்ணாதீர்கள். சேவை செய்பவனுக்கு உள்ளத்தில் அன்பும், உடலில் வலிமையும் இருந்தால் போதும்.

- சாய்பாபா

* போதும் என்ற மனதுடன் திருப்தியுடன் வாழுங்கள். பேராசை நம்மை துன்பத்தில் தள்ளி விடும்.

* மனிதன் பழி பாவத்திற்கு அஞ்சி நடக்க வேண்டும். குற்றமில்லாத வாழ்வே உயர்வுக்கு வழிவகுக்கும்.

* கற்ற நல்ல விஷயங்களை மறப்பது கூடாது. அடிக்கடி ஞாபகப்படுத்திக் கொள்வதே அறிவுடைமை.

*பிறருக்கு அடிமையாக வாழ்வதைக் காட்டிலும் கொடிய நரகம் வேறு கிடையாது.

*நல்லவர்களின் நட்பினால் வாழ்வில் எல்லா நன்மைகளையும் பெற்று வாழலாம்.

* இளமை, செல்வம், ஆயுள் இவையெல்லாம் நிலைத்து நிற்பதில்லை. செய்த தர்மத்தின் பயன் என்றென்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்.

What should education do to us and to our perceptions? Bhagawan lovingly gives us an important message.

Expansion is the keynote of education. The first step for this expansion is the home, where you must revere and please your parents who gave you this chance to live and learn. If you ill-treat them or inflict grief on their minds, how can you ever gladden others by service and understanding? You know that when a balloon is blown, it bursts and the air inside it merges with the vast limitless expanse outside. So too your love must fill your home and your society, and finally burst even those bonds and become worldwide. A drop of water held in the palm evaporates soon; it is very solitary. But drop it into the sea - it survives! It assumes the name, the majesty and the might of a sea! Cultivate the seeds of love in all hearts!
