What are the distinctive
and distinguishing features of a human being? Bhagawan sweetly and firmly
reminds us today.
The demons (danavas) are
those who trample on love and consider inferior qualities as important, while
the humans (manavas) are those who consider love as the only quality to be
fostered and inferior qualities as snakes to be destroyed. Are they humans who
have no sweetness in them and who endeavour to suppress the craving for
immortality? Theirs is the nature of demons, though the form is human! For, the
character and not the form is primary. How can those with human form be called
humans if they have no kindness and no rightness, and if they have the nature
of demons? Humans engage in soft and sweet deeds of kindness, rightness, love,
and truth; they are witnesses to the possibility of realising and manifesting
one’s immortality. Their good nature is resplendent on their faces as bliss
(ananda). Without goodness, even if one is infatuated with joy, the faces will
indicate only the destructive fire of the demon; it will not shine with the
grace of spiritual bliss.

At times when we falter,
when we feel our prayers are not answered, how can we hold on? Bhagawan
lovingly reiterates for us today.
Do not yield to despair.
Even the infant lotus buds bloom in their own good time. By the cumulative
effect of the good done in many previous births, you have secured this fortune;
you do not know how much you have gone through, but I know! And, whether you
know or not, I shall certainly satisfy all your needs. You must take in the medicine
I give and also follow the diet I prescribe and avoid the things I prohibit.
Take the Form you like and meditate upon it, take the Name you love and repeat
it, then no evil thought will arise. Wicked thoughts will flee. When they have
fled, what remains is the Embodiment of Atma (Atmaswarupa). Lead your lives
according to My Teachings, without the slightest modification. First have
faith, then the experience is granted. You worship with faith and you will
experience Grace. Faith results in Grace without your being aware of it.

2018............................
Why should we change the
way we think, particularly when someone criticises or blames us? Bhagawan gives
us a precious pearl in His own sweet words today.
Remove all negative
feelings. Develop more and more positive thoughts. Along the way some might
criticise you, that’s an opportunity of transformation for you! Think this way,
“My parents gave me one name, friends gave another name and others gave me a nickname!
This body has many names, that’s all!” Will you become bad if someone calls you
bad? No! If they call you bad, try to become free of bad qualities, if they are
present in you. If someone points out a mistake, try to free yourself from that
mistake if it’s there in you – that’s all!” Handle criticism gracefully.
Embodiments of love! In this Kali age, when desires are not fulfilled, people
start blaming even God! Don't hate anybody and don't accuse anybody; as much as
possible, love all and if not possible, at least don't hate anyone. Bhagawan
wants all to develop the spirit of oneness and unity.

2017...................
What is the best
attitude we must have to attain peace, while discharging our daily duties?
Bhagawan lovingly reminds us of the magic formula today.
Activity finds
fulfilment when wisdom dawns. Sanctified action (Karma) is the path to attain
spiritual wisdom (Jnana). Every worthwhile activity must result in purifying
the mind. Therefore, no one, not even a recluse or monk can desist from
engaging in good deeds. These deeds must originate spontaneously and should not
leave any trace of pride in the mind. Nor should any attachment to the result
of the deed lead to a craving for claiming it for oneself. Renunciation must be
the only source of joy. The Gita recommends 'inaction in action' and asserts
that 'inaction’ is the most rewarding ‘action' for those who strive for supreme
peace. This attitude is named Karma Sanyasa (non-attachment to action). Action
or activity is generally associated with the body only, but the mind is also
busy with the world. The Atma alone is the unaffected witness. So, the secret
of 'inaction in action' lies in taking refuge in the Atma and in recognising
all living beings as fundamentally the Atma.

2016.........................
Why should you keep your
senses under control? Bhagawan lovingly explains to us the path to earn a good
name in the society today.
None can escape from the
reaction, reflection, and resound of their actions. Everyone will have to
experience the consequences of their own actions. People who indulge in evil
practices become distant from God. People who earn a bad reputation through
their evil deeds will have no place in divine proximity. Therefore have a check
on yourself when you laugh or scorn at others. Not just this, your speech and
vision also must be in check. Some people sing inappropriate songs and eve
tease women walking on the road. Has God given you a tongue to sing such vulgar
songs? How sacred is the tongue, and what an evil use you put it to? By acting
in an inappropriate manner, you ruin your reputation and subject yourself to
ridicule by others. Therefore exercise control over your speech, vision, and
laughter. If you want to earn a good name in the society and be respected by
it, conduct yourself in a befitting manner.
