* கடந்தகாலம், எதிர்காலம் குறித்த கவலை வேண்டாம். நிகழ்காலத்தில் நிம்மதியைத் தேடுங்கள்.

* புகழ்ச்சியால் மனிதனுக்கு அகங்காரம் உண்டாகும்.

* பக்தியில் லயித்து விட்டால், உலகில் நடக்கும் எல்லாமும் கடவுளின் விளையாட்டாகவே தெரியும்.

* நேரம் கிடைக்கும் போதெல்லாம், கடவுளின் திருநாமத்தை மனதிற்குள் சொல்லுங்கள்.

* மனம் ஒருமுகப்பட்டு பக்தி செய்தால், கடவுள் நம் அன்புக்குரியவராகி உதவ ஓடி வருவார்.

* உண்பதற்காக உயிர் வாழாதீர்கள். உயிர் வாழ மட்டுமே உண்ணுங்கள்.

* உடல் என்னும் இயந்திரம் இயங்க, அளவுடன் உண்ண வேண்டும்.

* நாவின் ருசிக்காக அலைய வேண்டாம். விரைவில் செரிக்கும் எளிய உணவுகளையே உண்ணுங்கள்.

* உழைத்து உண்பவனுக்கு மட்டுமே உணவு உடம்பில் ஒட்டும். உழைக்காமல் ஒருவேளை கூட உண்ணக் கூடாது.

* தன்னை அடக்க கற்றால் இந்த தரணி முழுவதும் உன்னை வணங்கும்.

* பிறருக்காக சிறிதளவு நன்மை செய்தாலும் சிங்கத்திற்கு நிகரான ஆற்றல் கிடைக்கப் பெறுவீர்கள்.

* உணர்ச்சி வசப்படாத நல்லவர்களும், பற்றற்ற ஞானிகளும் உலகிற்கு நன்மை செய்கிறார்கள்.

* நீங்களே வேதகாலத்தில் ரிஷிகளாக இருந்தீர்கள். இப்போது வேறு வடிவம் தாங்கிய மனிதர்களாக வந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.

* சுதந்திரமற்ற இடத்தில் உண்மை அன்பு வெளிப்படாது.

What is the important spiritual lesson we must learn from the scriptures and our ancient seers? Bhagawan lovingly guides us today.

This world is the Lord’s residence: Isavasyam idam jagat. Therefore, no one should entertain a sense of personal possession or even a trace of egotism. Renounce the feeling of attachment and feel the presence of the Lord everywhere. Give up the feelings “I” and “you”; only then you will understand the glory of that which is neither “I” nor “mine”. This does not involve your renouncing everything. The acid test by which an activity can be confirmed as holy or sacred is to examine whether it promotes attachment or avoids bondage. The acid test to decide whether an activity is unholy or sinful is to examine whether it arises from or promotes greed. The real teaching (atma-vidya) directs that the world be dealt with as duty demands, but in a spirit of detachment and avoiding entanglement. Welcome the spiritual bliss that the Lord, the embodiment of spiritual bliss, confers on you and experience it with thankfulness and without being bound by desire.

When the world before our eyes is so real, how can we say it is an illusion? Bhagawan lovingly explains this to His students, from which we too can learn.

The feelings we experience in dreams disappear when we wake up. The things we see when awake are also short lived. During sleep, we are not aware of the world at all. Though the body is in the bedroom, when we dream, it is direct and dramatic, like for example we may see ourselves shopping on the Mount Road in Chennai! So, the waking, dreaming and sleeping stages are all only relatively and deceivingly real. Let us say, you are coming towards the hostel at dusk singing bhajans. A boy in the front row suddenly shouts in fear, "Snake Snake", that fear will overtake you all. It will make all of you step back. But, was it really a snake? Say a boy then looks at it with a lit torch and finds out that it was only a rope! Ignorance (the thought it was a snake and the fear) caused it, knowledge removed it. Similarly when the ‘torch’ lights up the world, it will be revealed to be God.

What is the root-cause for all the pain, sorrow, difficulties and losses we experience today? What can we do to fix them? Bhagawan lovingly explains to us today.

Many people say that the world today is afflicted with sorrow, losses and difficulties. I do not subscribe to this view - indeed, they are just our illusion! In fact, there is no unrest or sorrow in this world. I just see peace everywhere. When there is peace in our heart, we will be able to witness peace all round. Unrest, sorrow, anger, and so on, are the reaction, reflection and resound of the state of our inner being. Sorrows and difficulties, anger and unrest are of our own creation. They are not natural phenomena in the world. It is lack of love that is responsible for all the differences, arguments and conflicts in the world, especially in the present times. Love is the foremost quality of a human being. And faith is the basis for that love. In the spelling of the word Love, ‘L’ stands for ‘Lord’. Thus, Love truly originates from the Lord!

On the auspicious occasion of Lord Rama’s day of advent (Sri Rama Navami), what is it from the life of Rama we can apply to our own lives? Bhagawan explains today.

The scriptural injunctions declare, “Speak the truth” and “Practice Righteousness”. Lord Rama stuck to truth despite all temptations and never deviated from the righteous path. Rama never provoked another in order to create a convenient excuse to destroy him; on the other hand, He gave the adversary every chance to be saved. He carried the message of dharma to the monkeys and demons (vanaras and rakshasas), as well as to sages like Jabali. He accepted the homage of Vibhishana without demur, and He announced that He was prepared to accept even Ravana, if only he would repent his iniquity. Repetition of Lord Rama’s pure name will save you only if you are devoted to your parents, like Lord Rama. If not, repetition of Rama’s name is merely a movement of the lips. Meditate on Rama’s form and true nature when you chant or write His name. This practice will make you spiritually healthy and strong.

மனமே கடவுளின் இருப்பிடம்......அருள்வாக்கு...எல்லோர்க்கும் என்றும் அன்பு வணக்கம் சகோ தோழமை களே..........

* மனமே கடவுளின் இருப்பிடம். அதை தூய்மையாக வைத்திருப்பது கடமை.

* பிறர் நம்மை துன்பப்படுத்தும் போது அதைப் பொறுப்பது மனிதத்தன்மை. மறந்து விடுவது தெய்வத்தன்மை.

* நல்ல சக்தியும், புத்தியும் கடவுள் நமக்கு அளித்திருக்கிறார். அதன் மூலம் நாம் நற்செயல்களில் மட்டுமே ஈடுபட வேண்டும்.

* வாழ்வில் ஒழுக்கமும், நேர்மையும் இருந்து விட்டால் செய்யும் செயல் அனைத்திலும் அழகும், கலையுணர்வும் வந்து விடும்.

Why should we divert our mind from the distractions of the world? Bhagawan lovingly gives us a powerful thought to ponder upon.

Though it is hard to restrain the mind, it can be diverted. When the mind steeped in the secular world is diverted toward Divinity, it gains in moral strength. The mind steeped in the worldly matters makes you a prisoner of the world, whereas a mind steeped in God secures liberation for you. Your heart is the lock and your mind is the key. When you turn the key to the left, it locks. But if you turn the key to the right, it unlocks. It is the turning of the key that makes the difference. Hence the mind is the cause for your liberation as well as bondage. What then is liberation (Moksha)? It is not an air-conditioned mansion, but a state devoid of delusion (Moha). Majesty and morality lie in diverting the mind from the world to God. It is this simple and powerful concept that really contributes to your progress and prosperity.
