பிறருக்கு கொடுக்கவே கடவுள் நமக்கு இரு கைகளை வழங்கியிருக்கிறார். எதிர்பார்ப்பு இல்லாத பக்தியே உயர்ந்தது. பொறுப்புகளை கடவுளிடம் திருவடியில் ஒப்படைத்து விடுங்கள். நல்லவர்களாக விரும்பினால் செய்வதைச் சொல்லுங்கள். சொன்னதைக் கடைபிடியுங்கள்.

லட்சியத்தில் உறுதி வேண்டும்...அருள்வாக்கு, எல்லோர்க்கும் என்றும் அன்பு வந்தனங்கள் சகோ தோழமை களே.....

* லட்சியத்தில் உறுதி மிக்கவன் மனம் தளராமல் முயற்சியில் ஈடுபடுவான்.

*ஆரம்பத்தில் கடவுள் மீது பயபக்தி இருக்க வேண்டும். பிறகு பயத்தை விட்டு பக்தி செலுத்த வேண்டும்.

* நண்பன் கூட ஒருகாலத்தில் எதிரியாக மாறலாம். அதனால் நம் நண்பர் கடவுள் மட்டுமே.

* நம்மால் கடவுளுக்கு ஏதும் ஆக வேண்டியதில்லை. அவரின் பெயரை ஜெபிப்பதால் நம் மனம் துாய்மை பெறுகிறது.

* கடவுள் நமக்கு நல்லறிவைக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். அதைப் பயன்படுத்தி விவேகமுள்ளவராகச் செயல்படுங்கள்.

புத்தியைப் பயன்படுத்து!

* கடவுள் புத்தியைக் கொடுத்தும் அதைச் சரியாகப் பயன்படுத்தாமல் மனிதன் துன்பத்திற்கு ஆளாகிறான்.

* எல்லாம் ஒன்று என்ற விழிப்பு வந்து விட்டால் ஆசை, கோபம், பாவம், பிறவி ஆகிய துன்பங்கள் நீங்கி விடும்.

* ஒழுக்கம் உயிர் போன்றது. வாழ்வில் ஒழுக்கம் ஏற்பட்டு விட்டால், அதன் பின் எந்த துறையில் ஈடுபட்டாலும் அதில் அழகும், நேர்த்தியும் உண்டாகும்.

* ஆசை வயப்பட்ட மனிதன் கோபத்திற்கு ஆளாகிறான். கோபம் பாவம் செய்யத் தூண்டுகிறது. அதனால், உயிர்களுக்கு பிறவிச் சங்கிலி தொடர்கிறது.

What is the yearning everyone of us must deeply cultivate? Bhagawan lovingly describes it with a memorable analogy today.

Ponder on a river merging in the ocean. The waters of the ocean rise up as vapour when warmed by the Sun and form clouds, which come down as drops of rain. Each drop has inside it the yearning to return to the ocean from which it has been exiled. But, the feeling of individuality overcomes the yearning. The raindrops accumulate and flow as brooks and streams which swell into tributaries of rivers, flooding the plains. At last, the river merges into the ocean and loses its name, form and attributes. In spite of all modifications undergone in the journey from ocean to ocean, water remains as water in vapour, cloud, rain and river. Names, forms and qualities do change but the core remains unchanged. Man too emerges from the ocean of Divinity and his destiny is to merge in it. This is the Truth. This is the Reality. That Thou Art. Be firm in that faith.

When we perform a worship, what should we observe keenly? What is the most important aspect of a prayer? Bhagawan explains how we sometimes lose the point, with a humorous chinna katha.

Once a sage had a cat in his hermitage. Whenever he performed a homa (offering oblations to gods into the consecrated fire), the cat frisked about the fire and gave a lot of trouble to him. So he caught it in advance and kept it under an inverted basket for the duration of the homa. His son who watched this operation for years thought that this cat-catching and cat-imprisonment were vital parts of the ritual itself. So he took great trouble to seek out a cat before every homa and felt happy when he got one which he could keep under an inverted basket in the same room. That is an example of meaningless mechanical repetition. Spiritual effort should not become mechanical repetition of set formulae or execution of dry formalities! Remember, your spiritual endeavours must be to attract the grace of God on yourselves. Your spiritual practices must be accompanied by a sincere prayer from the heart!

Often we find our faith wavering. When that happens, will Bhagawan get upset with us and abandon us to fend for ourselves? Bhagawan answers and explains His nature today.

I have come to reform you. I will not leave you until I do that. Even if you get away before I do that, do not think you can escape Me, I will hold on to you. I am not worried if you leave Sai, for I am not anxious that there should be a huge gathering here and a big following around Me. Who invited all of you here? Without any printed invitation, thousands are coming to Sai. But, of one thing, be assured. Whether you come to Me or not, you are all Mine. This Sai Mata (Mother of all) has the love of a thousand mothers towards Her children; that is why I do so much lalana (fondling) and so much palana (protecting). If I appear to be angry, remember, it is only love in another form that I use to evince my disappointment when you do not shape up in line with my guidance.

What is the important lesson we must remember when we breathe in and out? Bhagawan gives us a profound message through two simple examples.

Embodiments of Love, consider for a moment, where from the rain comes. It comes from the clouds. Clouds come from water vapour, rising from the sea. Rain water becomes a channel on the earth, changes itself into a rivulet and merges into a big river, and finally reaches the sea as its destination. A pot made out of clay when broken, is cast on the ground, and in course of time, becomes clay again. Water from the sea joins the sea, clay from the earth, goes back to earth again, but why does a human being alone forget the source He came from? The only besetting evil in human being is the sense of ‘mine’ (Mamakara), the acquisitive and possessive feeling. This is the root-cause for all other evils. You must remember that you are truly divine. You inhale and exhale 21,600 times – it is a natural reminder of the message of ‘SO-HAM’ (I am God) which is the truth about your divine reality.
